Many people have to give up their pets because they can no longer afford to care for them. Over the last year and a half, CCS has taken in close to 100 cats because of the difficult economic situation we are experiencing. We want to help people keep their pets during tough economic times. So we have set up a new program – Nibbles and Kibbles.
We are partnering with Jeffco Action Center to provide cat food and litter to cat owners who have fallen on hard times. We will provide vouchers to Jeffco Action Center and they will distribute the vouchers to their clients who are in need of cat food.
We are accepting donations of both dry and canned food and cat litter. We are keeping these donations separate from the shelter food so if you want to donate to Nibbles and Kibbles, please clearly mark your donations for the food bank.
