The new and improved Cat Clinic at Cat Care Society (CCS) is ready to serve you and your feline family!

In February 2016, we made big plans for the Cat Clinic at Cat Care Society, plans that mean an even wider array of treatments and surgeries, with newer, more efficient equipment, which means more care, for more cats, in a welcoming and attractive setting.

Joining us in February is our new Veterinarian, Dr. Katie Waisanen, who brings a wealth of veterinary, surgical, preventive care, and business development knowledge to the CCS team. We also welcome Hillary Harman and Nikole Woods to the Cat Clinic team! Hillary joins our veterinary care team as our new Front Desk/Room Assistant and she brings extensive veterinary office management and customer service experience to our clinic. Nikole joins our team as our second veterinary technician, with exceptional skills in both shelter and clinic medicine. Shantal Blea continues as our lead clinic veterinary technician and her technical skill set and knowledge base continue to expand and develop as she grows with the CCS team.

As our clinic staff takes on a new look, the clinic received a makeover as well! We want every client and patient that enters the clinic to experience its warm and inviting atmosphere. We have repainted the clinic with calming colors, updated our waiting room furnishings and added new artwork. The artwork is part of the new Cat House Gallery, which includes rotating art for sale. 40% of the art sales benefit CCS!

To provide the highest quality care for your feline family, we have expanded our veterinary services to include in-house bloodwork, urine culture testing, and ultrasound testing. In addition, we now offer additional surgery options and dental procedures using our NEW digital dental X-ray unit.

Thanks to a recently-developed partnership, the Cat Clinic now carries the complete line of Royal Canin feline prescription diets- including several NEW diets; Renal + Hydrolyzed Protein, Urinary + Calm, Urinary + Hydrolyzed Protein, and Urinary + Satiety. This partnership directly benefits you, our valued supporters, because we can offer highly competitive pricing.

All of these important upgrades mean less outsourcing; more savings we can pass on to you; faster turnaround on imaging and tests; and most important, the highest quality veterinary care for your cat!

We have accomplished so many of our important goals for the Cat Clinic and we're not done yet! We have plans to add a second veterinarian and expand the clinic hours to include Saturday, starting with 8:00am - 12:00pm, increasing to 8:00am - 5:00pm, beginning early to mid-September. In addition, we are planning to extend clinic hours further to include Tuesday-Friday from 7:00am - 6:00pm. Our goal is to better serve you, our loyal and valued clients!

In addition, we have plans to upgrade our standard X-ray machine and purchase an in-house ultrasound unit. We are planning a mix of fundraising and grant writing activities to help us fund these enhancements, ensuring that the CCS operating budget will be minimally taxed.

Thanks to your continued support, the future remains bright for The Cat Clinic at Cat Care Society and we invite you to stop by the clinic so you can witness the positive changes and experience the warm and inviting atmosphere for yourself and your feline family.
