Details about the position: Cat Care Society is seeking a board candidate experienced in the financial governance of an organization with approximately $800,000 annual revenue (not-for-profit organization familiarity is a plus).
We'll ask this board member to mentor under the current board treasurer for several months and assume the treasurer's duties going forward. Responsibilities include but are not limited to support of the Society's Bookkeeper, oversight of the Society's monthly financials, annual budget and audit by the contracted accounting firm, as well as weekly availability to sign checks and other financial forms for the Society.
In addition to monthly board meetings, this board member would also need to be available, primarily by e-mail, on an ongoing basis to discuss or vote on policy issues and major purchases, management of cash flow and banking accounts plus the renewal of the Society's health insurance policy.
We're looking for candidates who can commit to a two-year term of service and, of course, love cats and want to contribute time and talent to helping improve the quality of life for homeless, injured and abused cats in the Denver metropolitan area.
