Opt to Adopt Rosie

Thursday, September 24, 2015

Beautiful black panther, Rosie, would love to find her forever home and a human to love.  Rosie is a feisty cat with cattitude.  She's not too happy at the shelter because she doesn't enjoy being around other cats, but if you can get her alone, she likes having her head stroked.  Rosie likes to talk, and she'll let you know her opinions!  Kitten Chow is Rosie's favorite treat, and she likes hanging out on the cat tree in the shelter's upstairs hallway.

Rose originally came to Cat Care when her owner became ill.  Her owner recovered and was able to take Rosie home again.  However, her owner fell ill again and is no longer able to care for Rosie.  All of this transition has been confusing for Rosie, but she would love to find a new home.

Rosie is approximately 14 years old.  Because she is a "senior" cat, she is part of the Perpet-U-Care program, which will pay for a portion of her veterinary care for the rest of her life (restrictions apply).  She prefers a home without children, dogs, or other cats.

You can meet Rosie in the upstairs hallway at Cat Care Society.  Please take the time to get to know this sweet girl - you won't regret it!

Special Needs September Adoption Special

During the entire month of September, you can adopt any special needs or senior cat from Cat Care Society for $40.  Individuals with disabilities and seniors aged 60+ can adopt any special needs or senior cat for $20.  Please note that the standard adoption process still applies.

Wednesday, September 23, 2015
Several Cat Care kitties found their forever homes in August.  Here are updates on our August alumni.

Mistletoe (now Sylvester): Sylvester also found his forever home.  He loves to play and snuggle.

Cedar: Cedar lives with a man and his roommate.  The roommate has a 15-year-old cat.  Cedar is always on his best behavior and is described as a, "good kitty."

Logan (now Loki): Loki likes to roam around his new home and rule it as his kingdom.

Augustine (now G.C.): G.C. likes playing with a variety of toys and is described as, "one happy guy."

Aubrey (now Selina): Selina found her new forever home with a family, and she enjoys playing with her wand toy.

Spencer: Spencer went home with one of Cat Care Society's vet techs, and he likes to lay on people as if he is a rug.

Returning to the 2015 TOPC Gala: The Tower of Wine is Back, Expanding to 64 Bottles

Wednesday, September 16, 2015
Generous patrons have yet again opened their wine cellars to Cat Care Society to make an expanded Tower of Wine possible at the 2015 Tails of the Painted Cats Gala Dinner & Auction at Pinehurst Country Club, October 10th. Topping the tower list are these French Bordeaux wines:
1990 Chateau La Conseillante ($457)
1989 Chateau Lynche-Bages ($425)
1990 Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande ($323)
1985 Chateau L'Evangile ($268)
1986 Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande ($252)
1986 Chateau Gruaud-Larose ($231)
1990 Chateau Rauzan-Segla ($220)
1990 Chateau Rauzan-Segla ($159)
1990 Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou ($156)
1995 Chateau Leoville Barton ($148)
1995 Chateau Troplong Mondot ($105)
1994 Chateau Troplong Mondot ($72)
The remainder of the tower is a selection 2007 Balistreri Vineyards wines, including Colorado Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varietals.
The way it works, each bottle in the tower is tagged and numbered. Those playing draw a numbered card and then win the corresponding numbered bottle of wine. This is the fourth year we’ve had the tower and it usually sells out early in the evening during the cocktail reception, so make sure to come at 5 p.m. so you don’t miss out on the opportunity to win a wonderful wine for your own cellar (and help the CCS cats and community outreach programs).
If you don’t have your tickets yet, link to register for the TOPC Gala Dinner & Auction
CCS sincerely appreciates both Donna & Rick Albin and Lynn Amsbury for their generous support of our 2015 Tower of Wine!
