Inga Needs a Forever Home

Thursday, September 10, 2015

Inga is one of the beautiful senior cats at our shelter waiting for her forever home.

Inga is a beautiful blue/gray Domestic Mediumhair cat eagerly waiting for her forever home.  She is friendly and affectionate.  She enjoys sitting in your lap, being pet, and being brushed.  She is a quiet girl who would enjoy hanging out with you while you watch television or read a good book.

Inga is approximately 12 years old.  She is eligible for our Special Needs September Adoption Special and is part of the Perpet-U-Care program, which will pay for a portion of her medical care for the rest of her life.*  Inga is already apayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, litter box trained, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

You can visit Inga in the Gold Room at our shelter.  She would love the chance to meet you and show you why she makes a wonderful companion.

Note: Inga is currently on a medical hold.

*Perpet-U-Care can only be used at the Cat Care Society Veterinary Clinic and does not cover the cost of routine wellness exams, vaccinations, euthanasia, or cremation.

Sable: Sable loves interacting with her new family, sleeping, and being pet.

Riva (now Miss Riva): Miss Riva meows for attention a lot and is quite demanding of her new human servants (just the way it should be)!

Opt to Adopt Augustine

Friday, August 14, 2015

Augustine is a beautiful black panther hoping to find his forever home.  He is friendly and affectionate.  He likes being pet and getting head scratches.  He also enjoys warming his sleek black fur in sun puddles.

Our awesome shelter manager, Heather Allen, says, "Augustine is a sweet and gentle cat who loves human attention.  He loves to run up and greet all visitors entering the room.  He gets along with his feline roommates and would do just fine in a multi-cat home."

Augustine is approximately three years old.  He is already neutered, up-to-date with vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

You can meet Augustine in the Gold Room at our shelter.  He'll show you why he makes the perfect companion.

Black Cat Appreciation Adoption Special

Thursday, August 13, 2015

Cairo, one of the beautiful, sweet black panthers waiting for adoption at Cat Care Society.

Monday, August 17th, is Black Cat Appreciation Day!  To celebrate our love of black cats, Cat Care Society is holding a week-ling Black Cat Appreciation Adoption Special.

From August 18th through August 23rd, you can name your price on any black cat or cat with some black fur one year of age or older, or you can spin the wheel to determine your adoption fee.  Land on light or dark blue, and have your adoption fee waived.  If the wheel stops on purple, green, or yellow, pay $8, and if it stops on red, pay $17 for your new cat.

Why should you adopt a black cat?

  • Black goes with everything!
  • In many cultures, black cats are a sign of good luck.
  • They look like mini black panthers.
  • Black fur doesn't show up on your black clothes.
  • They are as loving, affectionate, and sweet as any other color cat.
  • Adopting a cat saves a life!

Adoption Tales By CCS Shelter Assistant Karlyn Mendez

Monday, July 27, 2015
Our 'Forever Home' recap from June 27th:

London (pictured here) - “Jasmine” found a home with one of our new volunteer socializers and her family. She is doing quite well in her new home and her personality has improved ten-fold. She chirps during playtime with owners and loves the fresh air from the window.

Wyatt & Alex - “Oder & Uller” were adopted by two men. Both cats like watching owners do their yard work and hate the washer and dryer. Oder likes to bat toys and Uller window watches.

Benji - “Arthur” also got a home with one of our volunteers. He shares his home with 4 other cats. He is still a bit timid but is content and purrs a lot.

Douglas - “D.C.” (Stands for Douglas Cat) is a very wired and hyper kind of guy. Definitely doesn’t need coffee to wake up! He is an only child and is adjusting to his home.

Cheddar - “Brio” feels very at home and tolerates the older cat. She enjoys her owner’s lap and loves pets.

Sammy

Sammy is an awesome lynx-point Siamese seeking his forever home.  Sammy is a sweet and affectionate boy and likes being pet.  He is a little shy around new people, but if you sit in his room with him for a while, he will come out and say, "Hello," to you.

Sammy came to the shelter with his friend, Pumpkin, after their human passed away.  Sammy would really like to find a new human to love.  Sammy is approximately 10 years old and is part of the Perpet-U-Care program, which will pay for a portion of his medical expenses for the rest of his life.

You can find this handsome cat in the Purple Room at our shelter.  Please visit with Sammy so you can see for yourself what a sweet and amazing cat he is.

Opt to Adopt Gomez

Gomez

Gomez is a handsome orange and white tabby currently waiting for his forever home at our shelter.  He is affectionate and likes to be pet.  He's the kind of guy who will sit near you while you watch TV, read a book, or pay your bills.

Gomez is a quiet cat and a little shy.  He likes to be up high, and I often find him hanging out on one of the shelves in his room.

He came to the shelter when his owner was no longer able to care for him.  At approximately 11 years old, Gomez is a "senior" cat with a lot of love to give to his new human companion.  As a "senior" cat, Gomez is part of the Perpet-U-Care program, which will pay for a portion of his medical care for the rest of his life.

You can find Gomez in the Purple Room at our shelter.  Please come by and visit with him.  He is a wonderful and loving kitty who will make a great companion.

June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month.  Throughout the month of June, you can name your price on any cat at our shelter one year of age or older.  Please note that the standard adoption process still applies.

Opt to Adopt Pumpkin

Pumpkin

If you're looking for an adorable chatty companion, Pumpkin is the mancat for you!  Pumpkin is a very affectionate orange tabby with short hair.  He's quite friendly and enjoys being pet.  He's the kind of kitty who would love sitting by you while you watch TV or play on the computer.  And he always has something interesting to say!  You'll never get bored with this little chatterbox around.

Pumpkin is approximately 10 years old.  Though he is technically a "senior" cat, you'd never know it.  He has plenty of energy and love to share.  Because of his status as a "senior" cat, Pumpkin is part of the Perpet-U-Care program, which will pay for a portion of his medical care for the rest of his life.

Doesn't Pumpkin sound like the perfect kitty companion?  You can find him in the upstairs hallway of our shelter.  He'll be happy to tell you all about himself when you visit.

June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month.  You can name your price on any cat at Cat Care Society one year old or older all this month.  Please note that the standard adoption process still applies.  We hope you'll take advantage of this awesome adoption special!
