Elizabeth

Photo from Elizabeth's Adopt a Pet profile page.

Elizabeth is a pretty mediumhair gray and white cat.  She is outgoing and talks a lot; she'd be happy to tell you all about herself.  Elizabeth is very sweet and friendly.  She enjoys being petted, and you can often find her on or near the front desk.

As you can see, Elizabeth had fun at our Santa Paws Festival in early December.  She really enjoyed laying in the pile of stuffed animals; she was there for hours!

At 12-years-old, Elizabeth is a "senior" cat and part of the Perpet-U-Care program, which will pay for a portion of her medical care for the rest of her life.

You can find Elizabeth in the upstairs hallway at our shelter.  She'd be delighted to sit and chat with you and tell you why she would make the perfect addition to your home.

Boots

Boots is an adorable grey and white cat available for adoption.  He is a domestic mediumhair and is approximately nine years old.

Boots is a little nervous around strangers, but once he gets to know you, he is affectionate and enjoys being petted.  Boots would prefer a home without children as he is not very comfortable around them.  He is okay with dogs, though.

Boots is up-to-date on his vaccinations, neutered, and litter box trained.  You can get to know this great kitty by visiting him in the Red Room at our shelter.

Opt to Adopt Jake… by Sierra M. Koester, Cat Care Society Volunteer

Monday, November 17, 2014
We'd like to welcome Cat Care Society Volunteer Sierra M. Koester to our communications team as a digital content creator. She socializes CCS cats usually every week at the shelter and will now be sharing her 'Opt To Adopt' columns and other interesting cat information with us on the Cat Care Society blog and Tumblr. In addition to blogging and freelance writing, Sierra is Cat Mom to two wonderful kitties, Carmine and Lita.

Here's a posting by Sierra from last Tuesday about Jake in the Red Room:

"Jake is a handsome black and white mancat with medium hair. Jake was adopted from Cat Care Society when he was younger, but somehow (nobody knows how exactly), he found himself at another local animal shelter who returned him to Cat Care to find a new happy home.

Jake's fur was a little matted when he returned to Cat Care, so they gave him a nice haircut. He looks super adorable and he's so very soft with it!

Jake loves affection; he gave me lots of head bonks when I visited him. He is also talkative and would make a good chatting buddy.

Jake is approximately seven and a half years old. He is declawed (not Cat Care's doing), neutered, and up-to-date on his vaccinations. You can find him in the Red Room at Cat Care Society, located at 5787 W. 6th Avenue in Lakewood, CO.

Jake will be eagerly awaiting your arrival so he can show you just what a great companion he is!"
