Humane Traps Available
Cat Care Society has approximately 20 humane traps we rent out in order to safely catch those pesky felines who do not want to be touched. The felines in question have escaped from the home, been abandoned, abused or are feral (wild) and are leery of any human contact. The humane trap can capture the cat without you or the cat being harmed.
Cat Care Society requires a $50 refundable deposit per trap and we charge a rental fee of $0.50 per day per trap after the first three days. There is no time limit on how long you can have the trap. We will give you all the information and training you will need in using the trap.
We do recommend you have a confirmed plan for the cat before you try trapping it. Options include “Trap/Neuter/Release”, relinquishment to a shelter, or placing the cat into a home. Please read the article on Management of Feral Cats to help you decide what to do.
