Disneyland Vacation

Well, Society Members, I was skeptical about flying to California just to see a mouse. Now let me say this: I would not mind visiting the Happiest Place on Earth again. Here are some of the highlights of my Disneyland vacation. We went on many of the park attractions, enjoyed watching the nighttime water shows, and indulged in the occasional ice cream cone.

Splash Mountain is my foster mom’s favorite ride. It is a musical journey aboard a hollowed-out log through a colorful bayou populated with cheerful critters. Splash Mountain culminates in a daring 5-story plunge down rustic Chick-A-Pin Hill. I asked to hide in Jenny’s backpack during the ride so that I didn’t get wet, but I did get my picture taken in front of Splash Mountain.

Here I am next to Matterhorn Mountain where we went on a daring bobsled run down icy slopes, through twisting caves and past plunging waterfalls. Matterhorn Bobsleds is a thrilling roller-coaster-style attraction that will leave you yodeling with excitement! Jenny and I didn’t yodel, but we did hold on tight and came face-to-fang with the legendary abominable snowman!

After such a harrowing ride down Matterhorn Mountain we took a leisurely drive around Autopia. A combination of the words "automobile" and "utopia," this roaring racetrack features 4 lanes of fun!  Yes, that’s right folks. Travelin Tom (that’s me) now has a driver’s license! Racing's a gas at Autopia!

All that driving made me hungry for ice cream so we ate some on our way to my favorite Disney attraction: Toy Story Mania. This ride was inspired by the movie Toy Story. We joined the midway mayhem as we aimed for targets with our Spring-Action Shooters. No ride is ever the same twice, which is good because Jenny and I rode Toy Story Mania more than once (7 times). What can I say? Mr. Potato Head is so entertaining as the Boardwalk Barker, standing in line to get on the ride is fun too.

Okay, that’s all Society Members. Unless you want to see me and Mickey Mouse! Yes, it’s true. I met Mickey Mouse and his good friend Minnie Mouse. Who would of thought that a Tom cat and a mouse with big ears could be friends?
