Cajun's Closet Halloween Party |
|
We got all decked out to go to the Halloween booksale at Cajun's Closet. We were asked to dress as our favorite book character or author. Well, for me it was a no-brainer. I love "The Wizard of Oz," so I wanted to be the Cowardly Lion. Isn't my costume great? It even has a courage metal on the chest. There was so much fur on the hat and collar that it was kind of hard to tell it was me, but I am in there somewhere! Grrrrr..... |

You can't have a Cowardly Lion without Dorothy, so my foster mom Bethany donned the dress, wig, and shoes. We were all suited up and ready to go, so we headed out to Cajun's Closet for all of the fun. |

Once we got there, we saw lots of other people there in really great costumes. Here I am with some of my favorite girl friends - there is a Geisha (from "Memoirs of a Geisha"), The Cat in the Hat, the tornado (also from the Wizard of Oz) and Daisy Buchanan from "The Great Gatsby." Doesn't everyone look great? |

Here I am with two Geisha girls. They were very pretty. I really wanted to play with the fun things dangling from their hair, but they didn't think that was such a good idea. |

I decided to hang out with Huck Finn for a while. He had a cool fishin' pole, so I thought I might get lucky and get some fish. The lake must be dry this time of year, though, because he didn't get any fish. The Cat in the Hat was nice enough to pick me up high so I could get a good look at all of the yummy food on the table and the books on the shelves. They had a great sale on all of their books that night, and I saw lots of people buying lots of books. |

Virginia was nice enough to let me share her chair for a while. It was pretty tiring talking to everyone and checking out all of the cool stuff they had for sale. Thanks to everyone who came out to the book sale - we all had a great time seeing all of the fun costumes! We look forward to seeing everyone at Santa Paws in December. |
