Holiday Fun

We had a great time at the Cat Care Society staff holiday party on December 1. Shari hosted the event at her house, and there were lots of staff and board members there.

We enjoyed a delicious Italian dinner and then had fun during the White Elephant gift exchange. My foster mom, Bethany, got a fun stuffed reindeer, and he was just the right size for me to sit on!.

My friends Chloe and Jasper thought my Christmas outfit was very cool, so they wanted to have their pictures taken with me. Chloe wanted to sit with me on the chair – doesn’t she look pretty?

Jasper wanted to get a closer look at my outfit, though. He couldn’t quite figure out those reindeer heads on my slippers!

Next, we bundled up and headed out to the Santa Paws festival at the shelter and clinic. It was a cold and snowy Saturday, but there were still lots of people there to hang out with. We started the day at Cajun’s Closet, where there were lots of Christmas decorations on sale.

After we purchased some things at Cajun’s Closet, we headed over to the shelter. I was delighted to see that Santa was outside greeting everyone! This was the first time I got to meet Santa in person. I told him what a good cat I’ve been this year, and put in my request for a new toy and some catnip.

We went inside the shelter and got to see the wonderful cats there. I found a quiet and cozy spot under the tree with a new friend.

We then headed downstairs to the clinic where the bake sale was set up. It smelled so good down there that I just had to plop down right in the middle of all the goodies!

Our last stop that day was at the new administration building, which has been recently remodeled. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you really should stop by, because it really looks nice! There were lots of cookbooks for sale there, so I jumped up on the table to get a better look. That book about pies and tarts looked good, but I couldn’t find any recipes in there for fish pie with catnip, so I put it back. All in all, we had a very good day. I was exhausted and very glad to get home after all the fun. But I can't wait to go to the next big shelter event. Maybe I'll see you there!
