Clear the Shelters: Retirement Party – August 29 at Cat Care Society
You’re invited to join us at Cat Care Society for a special Kitty Retirement Party as we try to clear the shelter and find loving homes for all of our amazing animals! Join us August 29, 12-6 PM.

Waived Adoption Fees
In recognition of national Clear the Shelters month, Cat Care Society is hosting a special one-day only adoption event on August 29 from noon to 6 PM. Stop by the shelter to help us celebrate our senior kitties and adopt your new feline friend at no cost. Adoption fees will be waived for all adult cats (1 year and older). Donations are encouraged if you are able.
Note: All adopters must still fill out an adoption application and be approved before bringing your new cat home. To save time at the shelter, we highly encourage filling out an application prior to your visit.

Know Before You Go
THERE MAY BE A WAIT: The shelter will open at 12 PM. Due to our free-roaming environment, a limited number of guests will be allowed at one time into the shelter, and there may be a waiting list to get in. When you arrive, please visit our check in table in front of the entry to the shelter to join the waiting list.
ADOPTION APPLICATIONS REQUIRED: Because we expect a large number of adopters on this day, only visitors who have an adoption application submitted in our online system will be able to enter the shelter. To save time at the shelter, we highly encourage filling out an application prior to your visit.
CARRIERS REQUIRED: All cats must leave in a pet safe carrier or backpack. If you do not have one with you, we have cardboard carriers available for an additional fee.
NO 24-HOUR ADOPTION HOLDS: 24-hour adoption holds will not be allowed on Friday, August 28 or Saturday, August 29.
IF/WHEN ADOPTION HOLDS: If you fall in love with a kitty who is not currently available for adoption, you may be able to place them on an if/when hold. This means when the cat clears medically/behaviorally for adoption, you will be notified and have 24-48 hours to come in and complete the adoption. Hold fees are $25 for kittens, and $15 for cats 5 months+. If/when holds are not available for all cats and do not have a guaranteed adoption release date. Please visit with our staff for more info!
KITTENS: We expect to have a limited number of kittens available at this event. Kittens are not included in the waived fee adoption special. Kitten adoption fee is $200 for 1, $350 for 2. If you are interested in adopting a kitten, you may want to consider coming another day.
IN-KIND DONATIONS COLLECTED OUTSIDE: In-kind donations of food, treat, and other cat supplies that are being dropped off on 8/29 will be collected outside the shelter, so donors do not have to wait to get in. Thank you for your donations, and don’t forget to fill out a donation receipt at drop off, so we can properly thank you!
