We have an #adoptionupdate from Lauren who adopted Biggy (now Bo) this past January!
“My partner and I were looking for a younger, more adaptable and easy-going male cat to join our family. We have one other cat at home and she’s quite the diva, so we wanted the next cat we welcomed into our family to be unbothered by her attitude and quiet nature — just wanting to play and enjoy life. We’re also hoping his spunky energy will help keep her young. When I met Biggy/Bo at the shelter for the first time, I knew he was seriously the perfect fit.
“He loves being at home! He follows us around and happily “helps” us do everything — sweeping the floors, rummaging through the fridge for dinner ingredients and everything in between. He is so playful and has the zoomies often. We got him a tunnel he loves to plow through and surprise attack his toys/one of us. He is also very vocal so the bathroom is one of his favorite spots where he can listen to the echo of his meows which is so funny and cute. He and his sister still aren’t completely introduced to one another yet — they are separated by a gate in our big hallway, but have had a few positive interactions as of late. We knew it would take some time with our diva girl to warm up to such a rambunctious little guy, so we’re taking it super slow.
“Bo’s favorite toy is his fish toy on a stick string that he’ll bring over to us to wave around the living room. I purchased it the first day I brought him home, so he’s had it since then. He also loves his red panda stuffed animal…it makes a crinkling noise that he finds intriguing. We’ve brought him to the vet twice now for a first time check up and to follow up on some loose stools he had been having in the shelter that persisted for a little while, but everything is resolved now after some probiotics and slow transition to kitten food!
“Bo is so wonderful and fun, he is my best friend. Thank you for providing me with such a great companion. Our little family is perfect!”
