Happily Homed: Furrari (Opie)

collage of orange cat

Beth Dokolasa

We have an #adoptionupdate from Patricia who adopted Opie (now Furrari because he purrs like a race car engine) in May 2025. Patricia came to CCS looking for a kitten to introduce to their other nine month old kitten.

“He loves to play with his crinkle toys, springs, and sister in the morning and before bed, and lounge in the sun by the front window or by us while we work from home the rest of the day. Big sister was a little annoyed by his kitten energy at first, but now they play and sleep near each other.

“Furrari is the most cuddly, loving baby, with a giant purr. He looks you in the eye and will carry on a conversation with you. He brings joy into our lives every day, and I’m grateful every time he curls up against me, wondering how I could be so lucky. Every cat brings their own gift with their presence. His gift is just the love and joy our household needed.”

Have you adopted from CCS in the past? We’d love to hear how it’s going! Send us your adoption success stories (and photos!) to be featured in our #adoptionupdate series on social media or on our website.
