About Paws on the Green
Paws on the Green (POTG) is Cat Care Society’s biennial golf tournament benefiting the cats of CCS. Held on even years, this four-man scramble tournament allows individuals and teams to hit the green while playing for a great cause.
This year we’re excited to return to Homestead Golf Course, an inviting executive course in Lakewood, perfect for occasional players and avid golfers alike.
The event will kick off with a continental breakfast, followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 AM. After you finish 18-holes (complete with some special contests), we invite you to join us back at the clubhouse for a buffet lunch and prizes.
Sign up as an individual or put together a group of four feline-loving friends. Tickets include a golf cart, breakfast, and lunch.
All funds raised support Cat Care Society’s mission to be a safe and enriching place for all cats on their journey to a loving home.
Please note: Donor Advised Funds (DAF) can not be used to purchase tickets/sponsorships as IRS regulations prohibit donors from receiving any benefit as a result of DAF gifts.
2026 POTG Results!
Thank you to everyone who participated in our 10th Anniversary Tails of the Painted Cats gala and art auction! We are thrilled to announce that we had our highest attendance ever with 224 guests, and an additional 120 patrons who participated exclusively online.
More importantly, we raised nearly $150,000 through this event including the auction, donations, tickets, and sponsorships. After expenses, over $90,000 will go directly to the care of cats in need through Cat Care Society sheltering and programs.

Interested in sponsoring the tournament? Multiple sponsorship options are available! Hole sponsors get a photo of their cat on the sign so everyone can see the beloved pets of participants. And once the tournament is over, take the sign home with you to keep!

2025 Gala Highlights
2025 marked our 10th Anniversary TOPC gala, which we celebrated in style with a masquerade theme! In addition to the dinner and live auction, we featured silent auction tables with animal-themed pottery, quilts, baskets and our famous hand-painted “Flat Cat” canvases.
At the event we featured one of our very special cats, Curry, a sweet one-year old kitty with hind limb paralysis. We showed a video about Curry’s story, and she was able to meet and greet with guests during cocktail hour. Shortly after the gala, Curry was adopted!
