We have an #adoptionupdate from Jacquelyn who adopted Ashes (now Chomchi) In August 2020. Jacquelyn wasn’t looking for a specific cat in terms of looks or age but was hoping to find a gentle, affectionate cat.
“The first day she came home, she immediately felt at home and confidently claimed all furniture for herself. Although she’s since been very shy of strangers, that first day when I was still a stranger to her, she was fearless and adapted to her new home very quickly.
“She’s been a very happy, healthy, and spoiled cat. She loves catnip more than anything and will bunny kick any toy with catnip in it. She loves food, especially with tuna in it, which suits her since that’s the meaning of her name. She usually sleeps on my chest at night, then wakes me up by making biscuits with all four paws. I like to say she’s making breakfast in bed. She also loves to sleep in and explore drawers. If she hears a drawer opening, she’ll come running to jump in. Her favorite hobbies are bird watching and getting chin scratches. The only things she dislikes are being held and getting her nails clipped. Otherwise, she’s perfect.
“Unlike most cats who only play with the box their toys came in, she’ll play with both. Every toy we’ve given her, she plays with immediately.”
