We have an #adoptionupdate from Amanda who adopted Buffy (now Miego) in January 2026. Amanda came to the shelter looking for a younger female all black cat.
“She’s named after Mie Goreng which is a sweet and spicy Indonesian noodle dish, and she’s also super sweet and spicy.
“Miego has been doing great. She came to live with 2 other older cats (they will be 10 and 11 this year), and has been hesitant to explore the greater house because of that, but she is very relaxed and spending lots of time purring and playing (with us, and sometimes the other cats!).
“She is for the most part healthy, is eating and using the litter box regularly, likes to nap during the day and run around like crazy at night, seems to really love tiny mouse toys, and loves her little cardboard box house that we made for her. Regarding her health, it is looking like she might have a heart arrhythmia, so we will be seeing a cardiologist in about a month and a half or so to get to the bottom of it.
“We are smitten with her!”
Have you adopted from CCS in the past? We’d love to hear how it’s going! Send us your adoption success stories (and photos!) to be featured in our #adoptionupdate series on social media or on our website.
