Happily Homed: Sally

collage of orange and white cat

Beth Dokolasa

We have an #adoptionupdate from Olivia who adopted Sally in May 2026 but had been fostering her since September 2025.

I had the privilege of adopting Sally at the end of my senior year at the University of Denver. While a student I fostered 47 cats and Sally was the one that really stole my heart. Originally I fostered her and her bonded cat, Snowball, both who had complex medical needs. Sally was very dependent on Snowball and always wanted to be in physical contact with him. After we had to put him down, I really could not imagine leaving Colorado without her.

“She and Snowball helped me realize that I want to pursue a career as a vet. She has transitioned beautifully to her new life on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. She receives lots of love and attention from my family and friends. She is constantly purring and snuggling as close to a human face as possible. I am forever grateful that Sally came into my life when she did.”

Thank you, Olivia, for all of the foster care support you have provided!

Have you adopted from CCS in the past? We’d love to hear how it’s going! Send us your adoption success stories (and photos!) to be featured in our #adoptionupdate series on social media or on our website.
