We have an #adoptionupdate from Morgan who adopted Moira (now Willa) in November 2025. Morgan didn’t have a particular type of cat in mind when they came to CCS, but they wanted to find one they truly connected with.
“The moment I met her, it felt like we chose each other. Even though she was nervous and shy, there was something about her that immediately made me know she was meant to come home with me.
“When I met her at the shelter, I was told she was extremely shy and nervous since she had only been there a few days. The moment I went into the room, she hid behind me and seemed to choose me as her safe person. The first month at home was a slow adjustment — she mostly stayed under the bed or TV stand and only came out at night. With patience, consistency, and making sure she always felt safe, she has completely come out of her shell. Now she’s the sweetest cuddle bug and my little Velcro cat.
“She has been doing amazing in my home and has really come out of her shell. She loves playing with anything that crinkles, has a bell, or makes noise. She’s become such a cuddle bug and always wants to be as close to me as possible. One of the funniest things is how much she loves watching TV — she’ll sit and stare at the screen like she’s completely invested in whatever is on. Especially adventure time.”
