Get ready for a spook-tacular night out with Purrs and Paint!
Join us for a festive, Halloween-themed guided painting class surrounded by our adorable shelter cats. It’s the purr-fect way to celebrate the season with a little creativity, laughter, and feline fun!
All painting supplies are included, so just bring your creativity and your love for cats. Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply looking for a fun night out, this class is all about relaxing, getting into the Halloween spirit, and enjoying time with some adorable feline friends.
Costumes are welcome! Get into the Halloween spirit and dress up in costume! You might even see some of our shelter cats dressing up for the occasion.
Your participation helps support the cats and programs at Cat Care Society, providing essential care and enriching experiences for the cats in our shelter.
Featured Cat: Olive
Olive is a spunky 8-year-old diabetic cat. With a mischievous personality, she’s become a favorite amongst the staff at CCS. Her solid black coat and stunning green eyes make the perfect portrait for our Halloween Purrs and Paints subject!Â
Visitors will have the chance to meet Olive at the event, as well as our full atrium of adoptable cats!
About the Instructor
Cat Care Society Art Coordinator, Tara Deenihan
“I started volunteering at Cat Care Society in 2021 and have worked as our Art Coordinator for two years. My degree is in graphic design, but I have been out of that industry for a long time – working at Cat Care Society has given me the chance to be creative in a whole new way! In 2025, I created a piece for Tails of the Painted Cats and I look forward to participating again in 2027. Most of my painting background is in watercolor, but I love the vibrancy of acrylics, too. I have four cats at home: Simba, Peggy, and Dottie moved from New Jersey with me, and I took in Valkyrie when I found her living under my deck. I also look after a few local feral cats and love spending time with my feline friends here at Cat Care Society.”
